Dianna, ~ 3-4 years Female Lab/Rottie?  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Dianna is a very sweet and gentle Lab/Rottie mix (we think) who came into rescue along with her best buddy, Duke, who has since been adopted. She is short and stocky and very gentle. She went through heartworm treatment so still needs to lose a few pounds, but she is a very sweet, cuddly girl. At the rescue she was let out with other dogs and did well, and she walks well on a leash. She had a spay scar so must have had a home at one point. Sugar, 5 years Female Siberian Husky   Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt This beautiful Husky was brought to our sister rescue in Louisiana, LAMA. Her crime was killing chickens. Otherwise, she is the perfect dog and is familiar with living inside the house. She is here and available and is so well behaved. She's very affectionate and loves to snuggle with you on the sofa. Nelly, ~ 1.5 years Female Beagle Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Who can resist this sweet face? Nelly is a sweet Lemon Beagle who was picked up with Mary and Laura, two other Beagles who were found wandering around in rural countryside. They wandered upon the wrong person’s house and he said he was going to shoot them if they kept coming around. Obviously, our sister rescue, LAMA, couldn’t let that happen, so the volunteers went to go pick them up. Nelly is in a foster home right now, and her foster mom says she's excellent with other dogs and takes a lot of confidence from having a canine friend. She's gentle and kind, good in the car, and walks well on leash. She is still learning that the world is safe, so she takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she is a wonderful dog who wants to connect and who will blossom in a calm, patient home. Marigold, ~ 9 months Female Hound  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Marigold is a DOLL BABY! This sweet girl was rescued in Louisiana where there are many homeless dogs. She's calm and likes to hang out with the other dogs in the shelter. She seems to be a hound mix but is not a huge sniffer. She walks well on leash. Marigold is truly gold, personality-wise, a snuggle bug who loves belly rubs. Over the weekend she hung out in the meet and greet room while we did an orientation in there and she just wanted to be snuggled with, or was curious and would gently knock over the bin of toys and take one to play with. She would gently take the chuck-it away from the volunteer and then rolled over as if she wanted him to pet her with it. Pippin, 3-4 years Male Chihuahua/Pom  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Pippin is an adorable 3-year-old Chi mix. He is a local surrender who was adopted by a single senior. He had some itchiness and was given conventional pharmaceuticals that led to anxiety and eventually his return. He's a wonderful little dog who deserves a great forever home. He's with a foster right now, and his foster raves about him! She says he's super sweet and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He even gets along with her 80-pound Goldendoodle! Pippin is 100% housetrained, he walks great on a leash, and he is friendly and patient with children. He is from a stay-at-home situation and would do best with an adopter who is home more often than not. We are seeking a holistic-minded adopter who will continue a fresh food diet and supplements. Grace, DOB: 10/18/25 Female Golden Retriever Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Update: Grace was recently adopted, but quickly returned as she guards toys and other objects of value to her. She will need a very experienced adopter who can work with her under the supervision of a trainer. That said, she spent the weekend with one of our experienced volunteers and there were no issues. In the right home she will flourish. She loves to chase a ball and plays well with other dogs. Julien is her best bud. Grace is a 10 month old white Golden Retriever, often called an English Golden Retriever. She was relinquished by her owner who did not disclose her behaviors.. We're looking for a local, holistic-practicing adopter due to the breed being susceptible to cancer. A fresh food diet, avoiding certain vaccines and toxic flea/tick preventives would be best to ensure a long and healthy life for her and we're happy to advise on that for the life of the dog. All are in the 20-pound range and have just become available. These three beautiful Beagle girls were wandering around in rural countryside. These beautiful Beagle girls are ready for some Air Conditioning and a life where they can take it easy, sniff around the house and yard, practice leash skills, and finally be a part of a family. I weigh about 23 pounds. I love to play fetch! I was rescued in Louisiana, and the shelter down there says I’m friendly and funny and curious about everything! I’m smart and like to learn new things, and I love being wherever the action is. I would do best in a home where I can play. I'm not one to sit home in a crate with a dog walker.
